Andrew and I had bumped into each other for years. While working on the PostCSS ecosystem, I built a value parser with a focus on minimalism; Andrew created an alternative that prioritised developer experience and a familiar API aligned with PostCSS core. He maintained it for years, and his library became an important part of the ecosystem and was used in huge projects like Prettier. Later, Andrew did tremendous work on consolidation of Rollup plugins into a unified monorepo, ensuring they stayed actively maintained and compatible. His dedication played a big part in establishing Rollup as the foundational API for Vite, which depended heavily on Rollup plugin ecosystem.
